What is the Borderland Fund?

The Borderland Fund is a major new initiative to assure the physical integrity of our unique outdoor sanctuary. Very specifically, our aim is to build this fund to a level that will enable us to acquire the neighboring land and structures that we view as integral to Columcille Megalith Park.

We want to protect Columcille's ongoing mission of offering a quiet, safe, and sacred space and place for individual spirit journeys and for communal celebrations and free-spirited exchanges attuned to the energies of earth and stones.

We call this the Borderland Fund because Columcille's Board, Founders and members all feel a necessity to protect our park by purchasing the privately owned land that BORDER the park. What would our park look like without these:

Can you imagine a Columcille without the Barn and its “gathering” tent,
the Voyagers’ Lounge, the Pond, Signal Hill (with its Dolman and new
Lighthouse on one pathway to Thor’s Gate), and Casa Colum,
the founders’ gracious residence that has been a welcoming wayside
“inn of hospitality” for more than 30 years

Hard to imagine, indeed, but this is reality: All of these blessings—which we have long enjoyed, yet taken for granted—could be “lost” or separated from the Park forever, unless Columcille Inc. accumulates the funds necessary to purchase these properties when they become available.
